A certified translation packet is usually organized to make the foreign-language document easy to review in English.

For immigration matters, the packet typically includes:

  • the source document

  • the English translation

  • a signed certification from the translator

USCIS requires that any document in a foreign language submitted to the agency be accompanied by a full English translation, along with the translator’s certification that the translation is complete and accurate and that the translator is competent to translate into English.

A good packet should also be clean, consistent, and easy to follow. That means names, dates, places, seals, stamps, and handwritten notes should be handled carefully across the full matter.

At Wabi Immigration Translations, our standard deliverable is one combined PDF packet containing the source document, the English translation, and the signed certificate.
